(And you might be too.)

Baby quail are speedy quick. They are about the size of a fuzzy walnut, and cross one end of their bucket to the other in nanoseconds. They are busy… they are 2 days old, but they have the quail legs of Usain Bolt.
Adult quail are equally busy. They have things to do, and are focused on doing them as quickly and importantly as possible. They pick out bugs from the dirt, stretch and crow, hop and make little jumps around their area, they really are quite busy all the time. And watch out when they get new bedding- it’s all hands on deck to get these pine needles in order and settled! They complete all their tasks with the utmost urgency and importance.
And so, you see, its not a far stretch to lovingly joke that I am a little quail. I have little quail tasks, and my feathers are ruffled until I complete them- and oh complete them I will!
As small as they are, and as important as they make their to-do list seem…we still sure love our little quail. I am both amused and comforted knowing Jesus loves me just the same, ruffled feathers and all.
Oh I just love this. Thanks for making little quails’ personalities come alive. I’ve been thinking of having a breeding pair, to sell hatching eggs. Do you raise the Coturnix? I think that’s’ what I saw, but not sure. Have you raised Button Quail? I’m in LOVE with them. The babies are no bigger than a teaspoon! Good only for pets and to eat bugs, but they are SO cute!!
