My impulse buys have heartbeats.

The first grey puffball (silkie) I brought home didn’t make it. (See first ever post on this blog- “New Littles“)

This time around, I went for two! They are thus far my absolute favorite chick- the fluffiness and puffiness is super amplified on these littles. I love the grey as a chick, but I imagine the while will be more attention-grabbing when the are full grown.

Other additions are these silver laced wyandottes. We have 3 wyandottes, but none of this particular color pattern (silver and black). I expect them to be gorgeous.
I love variety, so this breed has been on my mind for awhile.

Last of the newest additions is this Frizzle! She was on the older side of “chick” stage when we brought her home, which is always gives me a little boost of hope that she likely has a greater chance of making into the flock.

I love taking chick photos of the littles.

Violet was in the first round of girls that we brought home as chicks, it will be a fun and new adventure to form relationships with these girls as they progress into hens of the flock.

We have never before had chick photos of any of our laying hens, and I am exited that we now will. For that reason (and because they are cute) all the new littles have at least one little chickie-photoshoot.

Because yes, I am sentiMENTAL as one dear friend so aptly called me.
