Happy Easter!

We always consider new life something to be celebrated. And, given this poultry Momma’s huge (and impulsive) heart, we say “Welcome to the Flock” to new life on a regular basis around here.
Easter is extra fun when chicks, ducklings, and homegrown flower bouquets are on the scene, but that never was and never will be the point.
Easter is essentially the foundation of believing in Jesus. Resurrection, new life, and restoration are pivotal to our faith in our Living King.
We have had many “Easter” celebrations in our own lives and marriage. There is truly nothing too broken, ugly, addicted, or selfish that Jesus cannot breathe His own Spirit and new life into.
Today and often, we are thankful for the reminders all around us of the new life Jesus has brought to our hearts and homes. Everywhere we look we see redemption. We see a faithful Father who loved us too much to leave us to our own broken choices. We see passionate selfless love that pursued us when we were actively walking away. We are surrounded by new life and beauty constantly- on our little homestead, and in the fruit of our lives.
What joy there is in the daily gift of belonging to a Living King!
