It’s not much in the grand scheme of things, but sharing our eggs with friends and family gives me great joy!
We have put significant time and intentional thought into bringing home hens that will lay eggs of beautiful shades, and three years later it still is a joy to collect eggs in my little basket every day.
The few that need to be washed get their little rinse, and the rest are put either on the basket on the counter for us, or a crate is started for a friend.

I know, its not much. It’s about a $2 gift money wise, but that is not a direct translation to it’s true value. Sharing something that we have invested our love, time, and energy into does give me great satisfaction, which would measure far beyond $2.
In many ways we have simple little lives. We are (mostly) content people, don’t engage in elaborate indulgences ourselves, and don’t give extravagant gifts. But we love genuine joy in simple little things, in finding the ordinary to indeed be miraculous.
If all I bring to the table in our current season of life is a simple bouquet of flowers and edible treasures to share, maybe it’s enough.
